I have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany for a very well established global filtration and textile manufacturer.
The position is responsible for managing all aspects of material flow, including all transactions of procurement, planning, warehouse, operations up to shipping to meet “on time” customer delivery performance, interface to the Production Planning, Sales and Customer Service team. You will develop strategies to ensure continuous supply and timely procurement of raw materials and supplies to maintain maximum production levels at optimum costs consistent with quality and quantity specifications.
You will be responsible for staffing and talent development within the purchasing and internal logistic team. This person manages, controls, and directs staff to achieve highest level of efficiencies which turns into short throughput times and increasing annual inventory turns.
You will be responsible for the Purchasing and Logistics (goods inwards & dispatch processing) department. You will implement company strategy by deriving the company’s objectives in relevant PM objectives, execute sourcing strategy to meet company’s growth and sourcing requirements. Manage and develop existing and potential suppliers to meet quality, price and delivery targets.
Manage continuous improvements and implement new standards for the entire procurement process. Manage staff by providing them performance objectives, coaching and development feedback.
Experience in lean manufacturing projects and project management within the filtration, textile or manufacturing business.
IT knowledge: SAP, Loomdata; MRP; Microsoft Office.
Must speak Fluent German and English.
