Legal Officer

We are looking to recruit a Legal Officer to join a multi-cultural team of professionals. If have a legal background in the financial services sector, ceek would love to hear from you.

What is expected of you?

Develop legislation relating to insurance and pensions to address market developments and legislative changes arising from EU Legislation
Periodic review of Insurance and Pensions related legislation and Rules and monitor local and foreign developments and issues.
Get involved in work related to preparing responses with regards to European institutions’ legislative proposals as well as eventual transposition into Maltese legislation.
Assist with compliance issues.
Provide support to the team in relation to the application of laws, regulations and rules.
Other ‘ad hoc’ assignments from time to time and report on the outcome of such assignments as may be appropriate and necessary.
Get involved in on-site compliance visits
Attend Court hearings when necessary

What are you expected to bring?

Solid academic background in law, ideally with a specialisation in a financial service related discipline.
Bachelor’s Degree.
A minimum of three (3) years working in a legal environment.
Excellent communication skills
Maltese Warrant
