Javascript/Node Developer - Senior Level

DataCompass is looking for Senior-level software engineers that are well versed in Javascript and Node.

We are looking for someone with:

-At least 5+ years of programming experience (doesn’t need to be all in Javascript/Node)
-Very familiar with Flask or Django
-Very familiar with creating a scalable system
-Familiar with MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or another database (SQL or NoSQL)
-Understands basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript (enough to integrate front end developed by other engineers)
-Familiar with microservices architecture
-Very familiar with how sockets can be leveraged for creating real-time applications
-Can quickly learn new technologies
-Willing to advise and mentor other junior developers
-CS degree is nice to have but not required

Bonus points if you are:

-Familiar with Angular, React, or another front end framework
-Familiar with AWS and Docker
-Have worked in systems that required scale

If you’re not so familiar with Javascript/Node yet but are experienced with another language (C#, Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, etc), please still apply if you’re willing to learn Javascript/Node. We do offer complimentary trainings to candidates and can help you switch to another language/framework in 1-2 weeks (as long as your fundamentals are strong).
