Java Engineer - Mid Level

DataCompass is looking for Mid-level software engineers that are well versed in Java.

We are looking for someone with:

-At least 3+ years of programming experience
-Familiar with Spring or another MVC framework
-Familiar with MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, or another database (SQL or NoSQL)
-Can quickly learn new technologies
-Understands how to create scalable systems
-Understands basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript (enough to integrate front end developed by other engineers)
-Understand thoroughly how HTTP request/response works
-CS degree is nice to have but not required

Bonus points if you are:

-Familiar with Angular, React, or another front end framework
-Familiar with AWS and Docker
-Have worked in systems that needed to scale

If you’re not so familiar with Java yet but are experienced with another language (C#, Python, Javascript, Ruby, PHP, etc), please still apply if you’re willing to learn Java. We do offer complimentary trainings to candidates and can help you switch to another language/framework in 1-2 weeks (as long as your fundamentals are strong)
