International Sanctions Analyst

We are looking for an International Sanctions Analyst to join an AML/CFT team within the Financial Services Sector. If you enjoy monitoring the developments in international sanctions, we at ceek would love to hear from you.

What is expected of you?

Follow and keep up to date with international and national developments on sanctions, including new UN, EU and national sanctions and amendments to sanctions lists
Review and analyse UN, EU, national and US sanctions
Pay special attention to terrorism-related financial sanctions
Provide sanctions-related advice, guidance and assistance
Prepare notices and circulars and distribute relevant information to both internal and external parties.
Review and draft sanction-related legislation as required
Liaison and coordination with Sanctions Monitoring Board
Ensure all sanctions and amendments are published on the website
Collect information on frozen assets and monitor names of newly listed persons
Reply to due diligence requests related to sanctions
Attend meetings of the Sanctions Monitoring Board
Other duties assigned from time to time.

What are you expected to bring?

Financial services background, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
Knowledge of Maltese anti-terrorism/combating financing of terrorism legislation and awareness of UN and EU sanctions and appropriate international conventions and standards.
Bachelor’s degree
