Fund Accountant

An excellent opportunity for a Fund Accountant has arisen! A professional leading and global company within the fund administration department, is looking for a highly-motivated individual whose main purpose will be calculating the Net Asset Value of funds by performing daily accounting duties to ensure fund prices are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.

What is expected of you?

Revalue fund portfolios and perform follow-up on exceptions note
Validate the completeness and accuracy of trade capture
Perform procedures to ensure the completeness of income
Set up fixed/variable fee expense accruals and perform periodic reviews to ensure accuracy
Account for corporate actions, subscriptions and redemption
Generate NAV calculations within agreed deadlines and complete checklists to ensure the accuracy of this process
Liaise with investment managers, custodians and sub-administrators regarding the production of the NAV
Assist in the preparation of audits of fund administration clients and liaise with auditors
Prepare financial statements under IFRS
Keep abreast of accounting developments and their impact on the funds industry
Ensure consistent application of the firm’s policies and procedures at all time
Prepare reconciliations to third parties, custodians and investment managers
Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items

What are you expected to bring?

Part-qualification in ACCA or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role
Good understanding of all relevant documentation, including material contracts
Clear understanding of pricing and valuation techniques of the asset classes
Ability to develop a working knowledge of the fund administration IT systems in use
Must have excellent command of Excel
