Data Scientist

Our client, a global online gaming operator, is looking for a Data Scientist to join their Data Team. You will be helping with analysing, interpreting and presenting of vast amounts of data that’s collected with the aim to improve the company’s products and processes.



Responsibilities:

Building advanced and actionable analytical models covering multiple areas of the business. Some of the sample challenges that you would be expected to help us tackle:
Customer journey optimization
Customer value modelling
Reducing attrition
Bonus abuse and fraud detection and prevention
Product recommendation.
Collaboration with the CRM team to make sure output of the models is actioned in the best way possible through relevant communication channels.
Ongoing monitoring and adapting of existing models to changing conditions.
Working with the Data Engineering team on implementation of created solutions.
Assisting in the continued development of the big data ecosystem.
Supporting analytics and working on ad-hoc analytical projects when required.

Requirements:

Degree in the quantitative discipline and several years of relevant experience. Theoretical and practical knowledge of several of the following areas:
Discriminant models (classification,regression)
Time series analysis
Bayesian analysis
Reduction of dimensionality (extraction and selection of features)
Unsupervised learning o Graph analysis
Visualization of multidimensional data.
Practical experience in design, implementation, optimization and testing of algorithms.
Knowledge of technologies and programming languages like Python, R, Java, SQL.
Knowledge of analytics, database design and predictive modelling.
Nice to have knowledge of tools for processing large distributed data sets, like Amazon EMR or Spark.
Eager to explore new territories and finding creative and unusual ways to solve problems.
