Controller (Proficiency level of German)

The Company.

For one of our clients, an international Shared Service Centre based in Barcelona, we are currently recruiting for a Controller who has a fluent/ proficiency level of German to join the team.

The Job.

In this role you would be a member of the Finance team and working as a Controller for the DACH area.

Your responsibilities: 

– Act as a partner in the SSC of the Local Country Finance Representative, providing insightful analyses and proposals
– Month End closing 
– Cost review and analysis, in cooperation with GL and AP departments
– Gap analysis
– Prepare monthly P&L with comments on variations
– Definition of strategical accruals in partnership with local Finance Business Partner
– Post-Closing analysis/reports (KPIs, marketing costs, accruals reconciliation, bonus and commissions calculation)
– Budget/Forecast
– Preparation of the Budget/Forecast in relation with stakeholders (Front Office, Marketing, HR, Facilities, Finance, ...)
– Ad-hoc analysis/reports
– Purchasing order validations
– Employee Data Management validations

The Profile.

– You have an excellent level of English and a fluent or proficiency level of German
– You have min. 5 years of experience as a Controller
– You have a finance background
– You have agility with systems/databases/excel
– You have the ability to perform under time pressure
– You can create and maintain strong relations with various stakeholders
– You have an analytical, creative and curious mind
