Computational Linguist Scientist (PhD) - Barcelona

Currently we are adding a Computational Linguist Scientist to our Cognitive team and you will work at our Barcelona office, really close to the city center (Av. Roma, 157 1º)

The Linguistic Stack we use varies from Python Toolkits (NLTK, Spacy, Gensim, Scikit-Learn) combined with Deep Learning Libraries (Keras, Tensorflow) and open-source linguistic applications such as (not restricted to) Freeling, Stanford Core NLP, BLIPP-Parser and formalisms such as JAPE or ABNF. We work with cutting-edge technologies such as Docker, Oracle, MySQL and NVIDIA and Intel accelerators hardware.

You will…

• Design and implement solutions’ components, based on Verbio’s products, to match client and product needs
• Design and implement knowledge-representation and text-analytics solution with systems from Verbio. Clients and Partners.
• Participate in integrated solutions deployments and intelligent systems’ configuration and training
• Design, develop and maintain Ontologies, Tasks, Conversational Flows and Social Dialogs that connect with Verbio Technologies or other technologies.

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Linguistics with Master in Computational Linguistics (PhD Preferred)
• 3+ years of experience on Knowledge Representation
• Conversation Experience (Cx) and Knowledge Extraction development oriented
• Experience with interpreted programming languages (Python, PHP, Perl)
• Experience with Semantic standards (OWL, SPARQL, WORD2VEC)
• Control version tools (Git, Mercurial, SVN)
• Bash scripting knowledge
• English spoken and written skills

Nice to have

• Skip-gram knowledge such as Skip-thoughts, Lda2Vec, LSA, SVD (development and deployment)
• SOLID and CleanCode methodology
• Experience with Continuous Integration
• Knowledge in NLU frameworks with Deep Neural Networks (Seq2Seq, Attention DNN)
• Agile methodologies (SCRUM, TDD)
