Backend Software Engineer (Based in Malta)

Are you a developer with a passion for Sports or Blockchain? If so, a client of ours is seeking to recruit a meticulous Backend Developer to join their fast-growing team!

What is expected of you?

Build robust and scalable software
Develop, deploy and operate PHP written microservices
Build server-side REST APIs
Help improve the company’s code quality by writing unite tests, automation tests, followed by the SOLID and DRY principles and perform code reviews
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to the company’s technology, algorithms and products

What are you expected to bring?

A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a related field
3 years’ recent hands-on coding and software design experience in backend development
Effective communication skills and a positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written English
Strong knowledge of PHP, Symfony (or any modern PHP framework)
Knowledge of one of these stack languages: Linux, Nginx, PostgreSQL / Amazon DynamoDB, Redis, Blockchain / Ethereum, Amazon SQS, PHP 7.1 / Symfony 4, NodeJS / TypeScript, Source control: Git / Gitlab, Countainer: Docker, Jira
