Accounts Payable Manager (based in Malta)

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to form a new AP function within a European finance team.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the AP function operates smoothly, whilst adhering to the internal policies and procedures.

What is expected of you?

Oversee routine function activities to ensure accurate and timely completion
Maintain accurate and complete general ledger and AP records
Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information
Compile, analyse, and report financial information to management
Develop, implement and document policies and procedures and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency
Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate AP staff members
Set and facilitate the achievement of department objectives
Build and maintain relationships with employees and related third parties
Perform ad hoc tasks as requested from time to time by management

What are you expected to bring?

A University degree in accountancy or equivalent/ACCA completed
A general flair towards IT and the automation function
The ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Competence in Excel and accounting packages
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role will be considered an asset
