Summer Institute for Intensive Arabic Language and Culture
Program Description
The Lebanese American University has hosted the Summer Institute for Intensive Arabic Language and Culture (SINARC) for many years. This institute invites students from across the globe to study Arabic. SINARC has been in operation for 16 years and is the go-to option for students who want to be immersed in the local culture while improving language abilities.
This is an annual program located on the Beirut Campus and is an institute of research and education within the region. This campus is located in the center of the capital of Lebanon, a dynamic city perfect for students interested in learning about the local community.
Students of all levels of Arabic language and abilities are welcome at SINARC. There are twenty hours of language lessons each week with 5 hours each week of the Lebanese Dialect. Students will be immersed in the local culture and have their understanding enhanced by language instruction. There are a range of cultural activities present in this course that include excursions to tourist and historical sites along with weekly lectures.
