Program Description
Founded in 1984 as first Spanish School in Granada, Carmen de las Cuevas is the ideal place to learn Spanish and dive into the fascinating world of flamenco: we are a Spanish Language School acknowledged by the Instituto Cervantes as well as a leading Flamenco Center. The school is located facing the Alhambra, in the quarter Albayzin declared by the UNESCO as a cultural heritage site, a historic neighbourhood in Granada widely recognised for its beauty, history, and architecture. We offer our Spanish courses in reduced groups of maximum 8 students. The course range includes General Spanish courses, DELE preparation, Spanish Culture and Flamenco dance, guitar and rhythm courses from one week up to three, six months or even a year.

The school buidling is a charming maze of caves, staircases, terraces and rooms. As the school has also a large tradition giving Flamenco lessons beginners and professional local artists, some of whom are of top quality, get together here to rehearse.
