Welder

A manufacturer of expansion tanks and water storage tanks in Charlotte NC is in need of Welder. This role will require the use welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies as required, meeting defined production schedules.

Responsibilities
Operate welding machine to weld shells into tanks.
May also utilize resistance, seam and base welding machines.
Assemble tanks and load into welding machine.
When applicable, will also perform tack welding.
Must document pieces produced and scrap output on production form.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be able to lift tanks on a repetitive basis that weigh approx. 25-50 lbs. into welding machine.
Must be flexible with the ability to work at different positions in the plant to meet production requirements.
Able to follow and execute established job procedures to ensure a quality product.
Must be able to meet quality and quantity standards.
Will be required to watch for conformance to standards and identify if faulty equipment or product.
Education
High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience
Minimum of 1 year related work experience

Physical Requirements
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
