User Experience Designer

Role Summary

As a user experience designer at HireRight you will join an exciting team that is building a global platform to screen millions of job seekers across the planet. This role has been created to help support our growth plans and we are looking for an experienced designer to join our team.
Responsibilities
• Create and utilise user personas through customer and analytical research techniques
• Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
• Facilitate usability testing sessions to ensure we are finding and solving usability problems
• Build visual representations of new concepts in order to test out new ideas
• Facilitate design sprints to help understand and solve big problems
• Communicate your design ideas to developers, product managers and other team members across the company
• Use the latest design patterns, tools and techniques to create visually appealing and simple interactions
• Create interactions that take into account users with disabilities and impairments
• Help drive user research studies to gain insight into user behaviour and customer attitudes
• Keep abreast of modern design thinking and practices

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a UX/UI designer
• Strong problem solving skills and analytical nature
• Experience of working as a UX designer within a lean or agile environment
• Strong design portfolio that shows your previous achievements and eye for visual design
• Familiar with software design tools such as Sketch, Axure and Photoshop
• Experience of designing for a range of devices, including mobile first design thinking
• Comfortable with modern design patterns and when best to apply them
• Excellent communication, facilitation and user testing skills
• Familiar with web accessibility guidelines and how to cater for them
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS would be an advantage

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in a scientific, engineering or design related discipline
• Some limited global and local travel required
• Based in Brighton or London, flexible and friendly working environment
