In readiness to operate independently from our current parent company, SUSE is now standing up our own IT function to support and enable the rapid growth of the organization. As part of this new team, we are looking for a Technical Product Owner - Marketing & Sales.

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

In this role, you will lead the M&S and CS IT domain to provide an optimal user experience whilst ensuring that our employees can be as effective with the IT applications and infrastructure as possible. You are responsible to plan, budget, lead, execute, and document the delivery of M&S and CS IT projects (e.g. implementation of new modules) from project initiation to transition to operations. This includes the supervision of the installation, upgrade, and daily maintenance of all modules of the employed software suites, in close collaboration with the vendors.

Key deliverables:

Manage a team of both internal and external employees, prioritise activities and resolve issues occurring within the M&S and CS IT domain
Manage relationship with vendors that are associated with the M&S and CS IT domain
Provide central support for MS application related IT queries in close alignment with Service-Desk, Infrastructure/integration teams and vendors
In collaboration with the vendors, establish project plans for IT initiatives such as roll-out of new modules, provide project mobilisation by confirming project scope, estimate, resources, roles and responsibilities, and providing project governance
Support implementation of major M&S and CS initiatives by preparing the system through requirements documentation, data gathering and system testing
Implement effective review, reporting and presentation structures, conduct project evaluations
Ensure that implemented solutions meet requirements outlined in the guideline documentations
Ensuring day-to-day operation of the organization’s M&S and CS IT domain
Effective planning, execution, and management of projects, enabling them to be on time, on budget, and carried out to the expected quality level
Who are we looking for?

The position requires a candidate with a solid business understanding and strong communication skills as the role involves working and collaborating with multiple disciplines and business units across the company. Likewise, the ability to work effectively across different cultures, team spirit, and a can-do and proactive approach is essential. Experience of working in the sales or Go To Market organization, ideally in a high tech industry, preferably software is an advantage.

Practical international experience in the Software/Software Consulting sector, exposure to Marketing, Sales and customer support tools is essential. The role will demand a lot of interaction with senior sales and business unit leaders so previous experience and the gravitas from working at this level is essential.

Proven knowledge of M&S and CS applications and IT landscapes
Previous experience with SQL database management and programming
Proven track record of managing teams and complex projects to quality, time and budget
3+ years of programme-execution and project-management experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable course of studies
Fluent in English, written and verbal – ability to work in geographically dispersed teams
Personal characteristics:

Well-organized with the ability to multi-task across multiple deliverables
Self-driven and detail oriented with high standards of accuracy and precision
Ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues
