Technical Leader – Mechanical

If you excel in leadership skills, we want to hear from you! A prominent client of ours is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Technical Leader to be part of their dynamic team.

What is expected of you?

Ensure the smooth running of the general maintenance functions carried out by the maintenance team and minimum system downtimes, with quick response to faults
Coordinate & execute the planning and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs within established time frames
Assist in procurement and sourcing of materials, equipment, tools and services
Co-ordinate and implement the stock control of tools, equipment and material used for the maintenance function
Ensure that stock levels of consumable items are maintained
Liaise and negotiate with local and foreign suppliers to source equipment and parts
Ensure that all tools and equipment at the workshop are serviced regularly and maintained within the safety standards
Support the coordination of all internal and external parties to ensure the planned projects are implemented
Participate in evaluation reports following the setting up of projects
Prepare a weekly report on the works carried out and ensure that all works are documented according to ISO 9001 standards

What are you expected to bring?

Diploma Level in a related trade of equivalent
Valid license to practise trade where applicable
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in leadership or supervisory posts related to a technical post
Negotiation skills and communication & interpersonal skills
