Senior Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

You plan, develop and test independently complex mechanical and mechatronic functions and modules for liquid handling and robotic solutions.

Count on your tasks
Analysis of the task and development of different solutions (concepts) for mechanical and mechatronic functions and modules
Assessment of solutions regarding technologies, state-of-the-art designs and the best possible fulfillment of requirements including integration into the overall system
Conducting feasibility checks
Development of requirements-based solutions that are safe and error-free to produce and test and can be easily exchanged if necessary
Ensuring the development-accompanying documentation in accordance with the Tecan specifications
Assistance in the preparation of test and inspection planning for the development and repetitive manufacturing process, as well as in the conduct of tests and testing to verify compliance with the requirements and specifications
Contact for inquiries in the areas of production, customer support and product management as well as active support of project managers

What you bring
Apprenticeship as a draftsman, designer, mechanic, mechatronic, automatic or similar
Further training as technician TS or engineer FH or equivalent, technical specialization in project management is an advantage
At least 5 years of experience in comparable industrial work, in-depth knowledge in robotics systems
In-depth knowledge in plastic injection molding, casting technology or other production processes for mass production of great advantage
Very good German and English knowledge in spoken and written
Team-oriented, collegial and tolerant, flexible and open to new ideas
Independent, efficient and reliable way of working
Great interest in interdisciplinary cooperation
