Senior Backend Software Engineer (Based in Malta)

We are currently on the look-out for a Senior Backend Software Engineer on behalf of a fast-growing blockchain company! If you have at least 5 years’ experience and thrive in a team environment, ceek would like to hear from you!

What is expected of you?

Build scalable and robust backend systems that power the company’s platform
Architect, design, develop and operate PHP written micro services
Build server-side REST APIs
Encourage team members by contributing to ideas and providing feedback
Improve code quality by writing unit tests, automation tests – following the SOLID and DRY principles
Work closely with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and then translate that into technical solutions

What are you expected to bring?

Excellent knowledge and proven working experience of PHP 7.1
Knowledge of Symfony 4 or any PHP framework, Jira, GitLab CI
Knowledge of at least one of these stack technologies: Linux, Nginx, PostgreSQL/Amazon Dynamo DB, Redis, Blockchain / Ethereum, Amazon SQS, Node JS/TypeScript,
Effective communication skills in English and a positive attitude
The ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Willingness to learn new technologies
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
