What is expected of you?
Lead the Applications Support team
Write and interpret technical reports, and requirements/functional documents, and propose technical solutions
Ensure JIRA and Confluence are updated by the team
Warrant high quality assurance standards in terms of software delivery
Vet and update quality assurance standards periodically
Ensure that software applications are being administered appropriately, and take responsibility in their availability to business
Take responsibility in ensuring the databases are available, and that backups are being performed
Ensure that SLA’s are adhered to, solutions availability, supplier management, capacity management and performance measurement
Liaise with the Project Management Office and coordinate project delivery
Requirements
What are you expected to bring?
A Bachelor’s Degree or another academic qualification in a relevant field of study at NQF Level 6
Scrum certifications would be considered an asset
A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in an IT environment, with at least two 2 years’ leading a team
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases, Windows Servers, and IIS
Ability to understand and write complex requirements documents
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile and Scrum for software delivery, bug tracking systems, and team collaboration software such as JIRA and Confluence and their use would be considered an asset
