Sales Manager Job Description:

Grow sales by servicing/developing existing customers and creating/developing new customers within an assigned territory along with supporting other sales team members to grow sales globally.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for all sales & technical functions in assigned territory.
Forecasts, solicits and secures orders from potential and existing customers.
Provides customer service, as required, and prepares weekly sales forecast updates to their direct report.
Prospects new customers, generates new leads and business opportunities across a variety of market segments.
Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting their location(s), contacting them by phone, or electronically.
Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships through appropriate and pre-approved networking/ tradeshows
Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by their direct report.
Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from their direct report.
Provides a a quarterly sales plan to direct report
Update the CRM database with new accounts, contacts and opportunities to generate a predicative sales forecast.
Travel to meet customers, prospects, attend trade shows, seminars, and internal sales meetings up to 75% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS, Personal attributes, and Education Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
2 year’s experience in transportation industry.
Extroverted personality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a self-starter.
Sense of urgency
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize many projects and assignments simultaneously.
Adapts easily to new and changing situations.
Ability to manage stressful situations.
Home office required.
