The Company
For one of our clients, an international Shared Service Center based in Barcelona, we are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager with proven experience in leading procurement activities within the travel category.
The Job
The Procurement Manager will be accountable for supporting the management of all non-IT Procurement expenditure across Europe in-line with overarching Group policies. The main objective of the first 12 months will be to review and restructure the way the business procures and provides travel services across Europe and then to select a new Travel Management Company for all the European region. The main tasks include:
– Review the current travel portfolio in Europe (advantages/disadvantages) to suggest improvements on reducing costs, travel volume, suppliers, contractual commitments etc.
– Arrange stakeholder meetings to understand their needs of the business and to implement it in the decision-making process
– Forming a commercial strategy and plan alongside key stakeholders to manage expectations on how a Request for Proposal (RFP) exercise will be conducted and timings
– Execution and leadership of the RFP process, including supplier qualification, appraisal and due diligence alongside the key stakeholders as appropriate
– Negotiate commercials and contractual terms
– Providing oversight on the post contract activities in terms of implementation and hand-over to the business for day to day monitoring/control
– Undertaking wider discovery and spend analysis work to identify further opportunities within “non T” categories, including potentially the review of Company car leasing arrangements, Legal services provision, and reviews within HR and Marketing
– Engaging with the business to understand demand pipeline and agree Procurement plans where appropriate
– Uploading and managing the contract database, including reviewing/maintaining records of approved suppliers
Requirements
The Profile
– You have an excellent level of English + any other additional EU language would be considered as a plus
– You have min. 4 years of experience working in a Senior Procurement position
– You have min. 2 years of people management experience
– You have proven experience of leading the procurement activities within the travel category
– You already consolidated multiple travel providers across a region or globally into one provider
– You have experience in working with other indirect procurement categories like Legal, Marketing or HR
– You have excellent negotiation and contracting skills
– You have experience in drafting contractual agreements
– You have excellent stakeholder management skills
– You are a logical thinker, keen with numbers and very analytical
– You are a problem solver with a critical thinking
– You have a high level of self-motivation
– You are collaborative and successful with stakeholder groups
