This is an exciting opportunity in Quimper, Bretagne - France - for a CONTROLEUR FINANCIER / PLANT CONTROLLER
Cummins Filtration in France , is where you can work on industry leading projects such as Controlling Plant Finances, Country Accounting Operations and implement significant contributions to financial processes across Europe for the business unit.
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
•Responsible for all general accounting, budgeting, financial controls, and costs for a Medium Plant. Works with the Business Unit Controller to apply consistent accounting practices at the plant level.
•Manages all accounting practices for the plant; conducts the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast processes for the plant.
•Works with the BU Controller to apply consistent accounting practices to the plant, participates in the business as a member of the plant leadership team.
•Manages the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process for the plant, including general ledger and subsidiary financial ledgers.
•Provides appropriate resources for internal and external financial and process audits.
•Implements recommended changes to accounting practices.
•Coordinates financial modeling of quotation packages.
•Develops and presents reports and analyses to the Plant Manager.
•Leads efforts to comply with any governmental or regulatory organization financial requirements of the plant.
•Leads the capital management process at the plant level.
•Provides business support for the plant in terms of product costing, accounts receivable, inventory control and payroll.
•Coaches and mentors all plant general accounting, cost accounting, and finance staff; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
Requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
•Significant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience in a small-operations manufacturing environment.
•TAX Statutory and French GAAP requirement New product projects / 6 sigma knowledge
•Team management experience
•Fluent English and French language skills
•Ideally experienced as a controleur financier / plant controller in a medium sized manufacturing facility
•Ability to work with new product teams and technical manufacturing team.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
•College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.
