Paint Operator

A manufacturer of expansion tanks and water storage tanks in Charlotte NC is in need of Assembly Operator who will work collaboratively with production team members to assemble customer orders to ensure on time delivery. Duties include: assembling of product, testing of product, and ensuring work area maintains cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
Operate exterior powder paint equipment and cure oven.
Using various controls will adjust spray pattern and flow rate to obtain proper coverage.
Use manual spray guns as necessary to obtain proper coverage.
Clean and safely maintain paint booth and spray equipment.
Perform tests to ensure specified mil thickness, adhesion etc. per control plan and document on required forms.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be able to operate and adjust all paint controls
Must have working knowledge of electrostatic painting processes
Able to load paint into hopper and move paint in and out of paint room.
Able to follow and execute established job procedures to ensure a quality product.
Must be able to meet quality and quantity standards.
Will be required to watch for conformance to standards and identify if faulty equipment or product.
Education
High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience
No previous related work experience required

Physical Requirements
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
