The growing Architrave team is seeking an Operations Engineer who cares about running operations in regards to our our customers but also our internal services. Is it you? Great!
At Architrave, we build state of the art software for Digital Real-Estate Management. We focus on a deep understanding of workflows and organisational principles of the industry that we combine with modern web development in order to provide robust, intuitive and inspiring business software. First released in April 2014, the novelty in design and speed of our web-based document management system has gained huge attention in the industry.
The close relationship with our customers requires Agile development techniques, with constant reviews and iterative improvements of features and workflows. We are a small, fast moving team with a short release-cycle to ensure our code goes live as fast as possible.
YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Managing the company cloud based infrastructure from all aspects
* Initiate, plan and manage wide scale projects with deep impact on company business
* Help all the departments get rid of manual and repetitive tasks by means of automation
* We want you to bring your vision on how the infrastructure should look like and make it happen
* If you can make all the chaos looks like it’s a walk in the park so you’ll have a lot of fun with us
Requirements
WHAT IT NEEDS TO BE OUR OPERATIONS ENGINEER
* University degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent
* You have a strong understanding of network and Linux security concepts
* Automation is your second name and you are truly in love with reporting tools
* You know how to find the single line in the log that would make everything make sense
* Experience with CD/CI tools for DevOps, we’re using Ansible, Teraform, Travis CI and more
* Quick learning and proactive personality
* Strong and comprehensive communication skills in English
* Ability to structure workflows for other teams, document them and sell them to your colleagues
* You know how to work as part of a team as well as owning projects
* You’re familiar with all the buzz words like infrastructure as a code, Dockers, K8s and so on not just from a conference you've attended
* Cloud computing does not make you run and hide
* You have good understanding of versioning concepts and you worked with Git
* You know to say that you do not (yet) know something but you're able to make sure to have an answer next time
WHAT BRINGS YOU EVEN CLOSER TO BE OUR OPERATIONS ENGINEER
* You have worked in an agile environment before and you are familiar with Scrum and kanban
* Experience with agile tools like JIRA / Confluence and travis CI
* Background in monitoring (our stack included Prometheus, grafana, new relic and ELK)
* You're table tennis skills would help us win some department points
