NOC Manager

Job Description

Job Objectives:

Manage and coordinate the entire NOC department activity through assertively providing network monitoring advanced troubleshooting and maintenance in order to effectively answer technical problems related to Network and IT Systems.

Job description:

• Manage and coordinate the entire NOC department activity and deliverables;
• Development and management of scripted procedures to check and report on system health and availability;
• Demonstrates capacity for organization, prioritization, and management in a dynamically changing environment;
• Provide performance metrics and service level reports;
• Effective troubleshooting and solving problems related to Network and IT Systems;
• Accurate & timely opening, updating and completion of all Trouble Tickets;
• Responsible for the team to handle technical cases on internal ticket system and keep track of these problems during the whole resolving process;
• Responsibilities related to the team include assisting with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining;
• Active participation in the process of analyzing incidents causes and escalates any improvement requirements;
• Maintaining RIPE relation.

Requirements

• IP Network experience ( CCNA/CCNP, HCDA/HCDP qualification or equivalent and above preferred; Good routing, switching and network appliances or protocols will be added advantages - . DHCP, ARP, PPPoE, QinQ, MSTP, OSPF/BGP/IS-IS/RIP, MPLS;
• Medium Linux knowledge (experience in shell-scripting: bash, python or php; DNS protocol knowledge and CPanel experience);
• Experience in managing a team and taking critical decisions is considered to a big plus;
• Ripedb –good experience;
• Good written and verbal English skills;
• Ensuring team scheduled activity during on-call work;
• Leadership skills- demonstrate a strong work ethic, high initiative, pro-activeness and assertiveness;
• Capacity to simultaneously coordinate multiple projects;
• Ensure Long-Term Organizational Success - Providing structure, direction and purpose to your team;
• Improve the Organization from Day 1;
• Be Committed - Ability and passion for working with people;
• Strong analytic and research skills;
• Very good communication skills.
