Job Description
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a NOC Engineer (Linux), who will be responsible for ensuring that all the systems are running at optimum performance and constantly striving to maintain the high availability and resilience standards that the NOC team adheres to. The responsibilities:
Proactive Monitoring;
Investigate and react to any issues that might arise and serve as a contact point for internal teams, ensuring issue resolution, and providing communication back to stakeholders;
Continuously strive to improve NOC applications, tools and processes;
Prepare and take part in frequent releases of systems;
Provide quality support following standard operating procedures and directly help to tweak such procedures;
Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders;
Identify recurring issues and escalate appropriately for permanent resolution;
Requirements
The Role:
2 years of working Linux experience;
Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, OP5, Instana, PRTG and Grafana;
Solid understanding of containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes;
Good understanding of Nginx or Apache;
Experience with CMS such as Wordpress would be considered an asset;
Basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL and MongoDB;
Knowledge of scripting technologies such as Bash, Ansible or Python would be considered an asset;
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such Jenkins or Puppet;
Working knowledge of Git;
Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS would be nice to have;
Exposure to ELK would be a plus;
Basic knowledge of Redis;
Be a good team player, able to prioritise and work well under pressure;
Knowledge of microservices would be an asset.
