DynPro is looking Network Solution Designer// Network Architect for one of our Major Client .

Location: Durham ,NC.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing end to end technical solutions to meet agreed business, process and architecture requirements. The network infrastructure solution designer works within a project team creating technical solutions, risk assessments, identifying the detailed component design teams that need to be engaged and the level of change that will be necessary to fulfil the project's objectives. S/he acts as the liaison between service management and technology to provide a stable operating environment for IT and IT supported functions through proven, repeatable processes. Solution designer also ensures hardware and software resources of the entire network enable network connectivity, communication, operations, and management of the entire enterprise network. These activities will inform the assessment of project business cases and will underpin planning, scheduling and scope definitions. The work spans the product lifecycle of research, selection, introduction, development, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure components including databases and data warehouses, hardware and software. The teams determine the best technological path for the organization going forward and commission the work to attain the goals. The Solution Designer is well versed on network and integration methods and the ability to utilize it to arrive at business solution while also being knowledgeable of system security application architecture. Solution designer exhibits a balance of technical, documentation and people skills, and has proven network management experience in a technical environment.
As well as project, focused work, the role has an enduring responsibility for maintaining the end-to-end service designs, or current state repositories, that explain the operation of each solution and operational service. The documentation provided by this team thus acts as a framework for the more detailed activities undertaken by the individual design teams as well as being an important resource for architecture, operations and/or service management.

Key Responsibilities (in descending order of importance) and % of Time:
1. Development of solution designs, implementation strategies, and project execution of network related technology and services - 75%
This includes the management of the performance, quality, availability, capacity, compliance, and responsiveness of the services delivered by all service providers and vendors.
1. Support strategic business initiatives including support of service transition processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive higher efficiency and performance of network services-15%.
2. Financial budget planning for projects – 5%
3. Level 4 support – 5%

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Years and Type of Experience:
• 10-15 years' experience working with wired and wireless data, voice and video technologies in global companies
• 12 Years - Experience in IT industry or equivalent technical, design, architecture and/or operational management experience (e.g., engineering) or technical competence gained in a highly complex and varied technology environment.
• 7 Years - Enterprise local and wide area network design, including router and switch configuration and troubleshooting of network problems.
• 7 Years - Experience in wireless design, deployment, and security
• 7 Years - Experience in network monitoring, debug and administration tools
• 7 Years - Background in wireless infrastructure solutions
• 7 Years - Working knowledge of network protocols (IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPsec, etc.)
• 7 Years - Deep understanding of infrastructure products and competencies related to system infrastructure, applications and associated workflows including solid knowledge of network components and network operating system security, and firewall theory and configurations
• 7 Years - Design, development and configuration experience with Functional and Technical spec development.
• Worked with partners to deliver solutions – both onshore, near shore and off shore.
• 7 years - Network infrastructure experience
• Knowledge of industry best practice methodologies for analyzing, defining and documenting the link between input business requirements and output technical solutions.
• Process development, documentation, and implementation – development to service delivery.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of large-scale organizational change management principles & methodologies, and their application
• Proficiency with both Visio and Microsoft Office
• Detailed knowledge of how Voice, VOIP Video and Data are designed and managed
• Detailed knowledge of Cisco and similar network infrastructure devices such routers, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers, WAN accelerators, Telephone PBXs, VoIP Infrastructure, WAN circuits, business to business VPN, SSL VPN Appliances
• VLANs and switch redundancy
• Network Optimization (SIP trucking, VOIP)
• Working knowledge, understanding, and experience with telecommunication infrastructures (e.g. LAN, WAN, VLAN, Voice, Video, VPN, etc.)
• Knowledge of IP security implementation, multi-vendor IPS, URL filtering
• Experience with enterprise-wide platforms such as Microsoft, Cisco, etc.
• VMWare experience and/or certification (VSphere, SRM, VDI)
• Skill in administering and troubleshooting problems related to hardware and software, Systems Administration, (i.e. server management, DNS, DHCP, desktop support, etc.)
• Cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google)&management products
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Have a very strong understanding of process workflows and be highly effective in facilitating process and technical improvement efforts.
• Very strong at effectively prioritizing and executing tasks, even while under pressure with self-motivation and self-direction
• Ability to work with incomplete requirement specs and resolve ambiguities with the originating function
• Maintain high level of domain expertise, keeping abreast of the developments within the applications / technology landscape, to ensure continued delivery to time, cost and quality in the face of both internal and external change.
• Ability to represent highly complex technical issues to a non-technical, senior audience.
• Responds effectively to rapid change, delivering appropriate solutions or alternatives to time critical milestones
Must be able to work with incomplete requirement specifications, resolving ambiguities via discussions with the originating functions
