Network & Security Engineer - Malta

Designs, Implements and maintains high-performance and resilient network setups by building net configurations and connections; troubleshooting network problems.

· Sets up networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
· Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
· Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
· Fulfils information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
· Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.
· Provide Technical Presales assistance to the commercial teams, PoCs, Demos
· Performing analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software
· Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
· Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles

· Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
· Will configure, test and troubleshoot on platforms like Cisco ASA, Sophos UTM, F5 LTM/GTM
