Microsoft Word and VBA Developer with significant experience within Sharepoint environments – Geneva, Switzerland based – negotiable, depending on skills and experience - Permanent

Leading IT Consultancy with offices in UK and Europe (Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium) is looking to recruit a permanent Microsoft Word and VBA Developer, who has worked within a sophisticated SharePoint environment. We undertake a variety of software development projects for our clients from Retail, Automotive, Publishing and Logistics domains which are well-known names.

We are looking for a talented Microsoft Word and VBA Developer with significant experience of integrating within a SharePoint environment with a Consultant mindset, to join our process improvement projects. The Microsoft Word and VBA Developer will be responsible for improving the customer service by making the operational functions more efficient and user friendly for external and internal customers. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting current operations by increasing efficiency through the automation, development, programming, debugging, customization, and user training of technology, primarily MS Office applications. You will be able to demonstrate successfully working in fluid and dynamic teams and projects.

The successful Microsoft Word and VBA Developer will be working at sites in Switzerland as well in the UK. The Travel reimbursement policy ensures the consultant's costs do not exceed those of attending the company’s offices.

Main responsibilities of the Microsoft Word and VBA Developer:
• Analyze work processes and how software applications are used to make recommendations for efficiency improvements.
• Document work processes along with instructions and applicable guidance.
• Develop new tools and ways MS Office applications can be used to improve our processes.
• Evolve and develop integration of MS Word templates into a sophisticated SharePoint system based on SharePoint 2013, 2017 and potentially other versions.
• Create sophisticated forms and templates in MS Word by using macros and VBA programming.
• Develop reports and dashboards using MS Word integrated into MS Excel, MS Access and VBA programming.
• Sustain appropriate and relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience in all relevant software applications.
• Provide assistance with testing of applications and systems, particularly supportive of System and User testing and validation.
• Be a subject matter expert.
• Support training of others, technical and end users as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Key requirements for the Microsoft Word, Excel and VBA Developer:
• Minimum of 4-8 years of demonstrable commercial experience creating MS Word forms and templates using macros and VBA programming
• MS Office 365 expert level of knowledge
• Experience working in a SharePoint environment
• Certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist is preferred
• French language skills is an advantage
• Self-starter, mature, highly organized, poised, demonstrate initiative, possess tact and good judgment, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
