Job Description
A great opportunity to develop your skills with a renowned oil and gas company in Libya . Working 7 weeks on and 2 weeks off, you will be responsible for handling the Systems requirements of Microsoft Dynamics (AX) for the Company, while handling any day-to-day maintenance and upgrades of the system. You would be responsible for providing all maintenance, repair and upgrades of the Microsoft AX System and any other requirements of the ICT Department.
What is expected of you?
Engage with the Heads of departments and their department end-users to architect and develop Microsoft Dynamics AX solutions (workflows, processes, forms and other customisations in the application).
Design and develop custom Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 solutions for data scripts, internal AX and external SQL reports, and screens using SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
Participate in, and lead where required, impact assessment of all system changes prior to these being executed in the software modules.
Modify Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 user interface code and back-end logic based on line of business requirements.
Produce technical specifications based on functional design specifications (customizations, integrations, interfaces).
Perform debugging and unit testing of Microsoft Dynamics AX solutions, and integrations with existing AX modules.
Create unit tests and provide input into regression testing.
Analyse and package Dynamics AX changes into deployment models and create required release notes.
Seek opportunities to reduce system complexity and improve application performance.
Create and update required documentation to support the system and end-users.
Troubleshoot AX errors and other technical issues while working closely with in-house IT System Administrators.
Collaborate with in-house technical, functional, and end-user team members, as well as third-party vendors and software implementation partners.
Ensure that all work is carried out safely and professionally, and in accordance with VAOS QMS standards.
Requirements
Previous experience with the development and configuration of, and implementation, of MS Dynamics AX is essential.
5 years of relevant experience in a Help-Desk Technician or other ICT customer support role is highly desirable.
Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry, and working with multi-cultural teams and end-users would be beneficial.
Bachelor of Science degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.
Microsoft Certification (MCP) in MS Dynamics AX.
Well-developed analytical, written and verbal communication skills, preferably in English.
Excellent knowledge of, and experience working with, configuring and developing MS Dynamics AX, and other systems as required.
Ability to identify, diagnose and resolve defects in MS Dynamics AX, and other systems as required.
Exceptional technical judgement informed by extensive knowledge and experience.
Innovative, inventive, and analytical, able to anticipate and resolve problems with ease.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Well-developed written and oral communication ability.
