Responsibilities:
Scientific leadership and partnerships, customer engagement and leveraging expert insights.
In an environment with a culture of strong medical standards, the individual must bring a high degree of medical professionalism, credibility and astuteness by providing high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed medical scientific information to key endocrinologists and other HCPs and stakeholders during meetings, presentations as well as in response to unsolicited requests for information.
• Interact and collaborate with national opinion leaders and other endocrinology specialists
• Expand existing peer-to-peer relationships with key HCPs and local endocrine societies
• Arrange and carry through Face-to-Face meetings with HCPs at endocrinology departments
• Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed medical scientific information about our medicine(s) and discuss the data and clinical use at a high scientific level
• Deliver presentations at the external meetings
• Ensure clinical relevance and value of our medicine(s) is understood while maintaining the primacy of patient’s best interest
• In response to an unsolicited request for information, communicate scientific data
• Arrange and carry through relevant meeting activities
• Write speaker briefings for local meetings and symposia
• Participate in relevant scientific congresses with Belgian HCPs
• Collaborate about relevant studies and projects, e.g. data generating non-interventional studies Competitive intelligence.
The medical expertise will include an understanding of relevant competitive activity including ongoing studies and product development initiatives.
Collaborations internally
• Align activities with internal Rare Disease team in collaboration with Medical Lead
• Collaborate closely with the Belgium Rare Disease Medical Lead and the other cross-functional team colleagues in the Belgium Endocrine team.
• Ensure HCP and patients intelligence, interests and needs are brought//fed back internally// into the organization to generate insights, shape future strategy and leverage business opportunities to maintain a therapeutic leadership position showing continued commitment to endocrinology // to support the safe and effective use of our medicines, and to leverage unmet medical and educational needs
Compliance
- Knowledge of local pharmaceutical Code of Practice and FCPA/GPIHP, relevant SOPs and how it relates to the MSR
Requirements
Experience /Skills/Capabilities
• Master in Medicine, Pharmaceutical or Biomedical Sciences
• Experience as MSR, MSL from pharma industry is preferable
• Pharmaceutical background is mandatory
• Knowledge of the therapeutic area endocrinology is a real plus (but not mandatory)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong communication skills also in writing
• Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build credibility with stakeholders
• Facilitate open discussion and debate among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations.
• Well-organized.
• Strong collaboration skills Pro-active mindset, self-starter.
• Fluency in Dutch and French required and good understanding of English (scientific documentation in English)
• Ability to travel all around Belgium and be field-based (approx. 70% of time)
