Job Description:
What you will do
Together with an internal patent expert, you are the contact point for patent questions for the entire group of companies. They are the link between inventors, patent attorneys and management. They help the development teams to identify inventions and assist patent applications. You supervise the group-wide patent portfolio and pursue the goal of broad protection of our innovations through patents, design and trademark protection. They ensure "Freedom to Operate" in product development.

Count on your tasks
Defining and implementing patent strategies
Identify inventions in the projects
Accompanying, coordinating the patent applications
Creation or proofreading of patent designs and accompanying our inventors
Review search reports and proposals from patent attorneys
Monitoring patent applications in our field of activity and competitors
Patent searches
Support the business in patent and IP issues with Mergers & Acquisitions and Post Merger Integrations
Coordination and execution of Freedom to Operate clarifications
Hold internal training on patent issues and raise employee awareness of IP

What you bring
Natural science or technical education (University of Applied Sciences, University or ETH)
At least 5 years of patent experience in technology-oriented companies or in a patent law firm
Further education as European or Swiss patent attorney
Experience in dealing with databases and patent searches
Good knowledge of office programs
Very good German and English skills are required, other languages are a plus
Excellent communication skills
Openness to new things, willingness to work in new areas and technologies and to learn the language of the respective professionals
