Job Description
We have partnered with a large Manufacturing company in the Tampa, FL area to provide them with a Maintenance Mechanic II - 3rd Shift (11 pm to 7 am)
Must have PLC, Allen Bradley, and Electrical Controls Experience. Local candidates only.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic:
Maintains and repairs machinery such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. Performs maintenance and repairs to the physical structures of the facility.
Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Conducts tests to locate mechanical system malfunction.
Installs electrical components in accordance with electrical codes
Installs the conduit and runs wires through conduit.
Repairs electrical equipment.
Tests wiring connections with test equipment like volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Uses machine tools in installation, maintenance or repair.
Starts devises to test their performance.
Sets up and operates a lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
Repairs electrical equipment.
Utilizes braze-welding equipment as needed.
Maintains repair records.
Maintains a clean and orderly maintenance shop.
Adheres to safety procedures
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Education / Experience of the Maintenance Mechanic:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PLC and electrical controls experience required
