Role : Infrastructure Architect
Job Type : 6 Contract (with possible extension)
Location : Dusseldorf, Germany

Key Skills:
• Responsible for the management, design, maintenance and support converged infrastructure and related systems including, but not limited to Dell EMC Vblock, VMware vSphere and vCloud, SDN NSX, Cisco networking and compute components, Dell EMC storage arrays, and backup and recovery infrastructure. Analyze systems needs and provide cost effective business solutions as well as varying levels of support escalation. NFV expert.
• Knowledge of Converged infrastructure includes multiple Dell EMC VBlock systems, VMware vSphere, Cisco UCS server and networking components, and Dell EMC storage arrays
• Technical experience executing RCM upgrade.
• Builds a collaborative, technical relationship across Storage, Server Infrastructure Operations, and Networking teams in assigned technical program area
• Serve as a subject matter expert and/or leader in the design, implementation and support of converged infrastructure and related components, including RCM Upgrade.
• Resolve escalated cases from other Converged Infrastructure Engineers, as well as team members from Networking, Storage, and Host Systems.
• Assist with fault resolution and root-cause analyses for system outages and institute preventative and corrective measures during the RCM Upgrade.
• Provide input on the strategic direction for converged infrastructure technology.
• Utilize tools and established processes to monitor system performance and availability.
• Provide guidance and input toward relevant technology road maps.
• Able to provide extensive and detailed technical documentation.
• Document and communicate relevant project information including, but not limited to, TCO summary, business and technical justification, project charter and timeline
• Ability to provide work estimates and budgets for IT initiatives that involve converged infrastructure components.
• Develop, implement, and maintain tools and processes to monitor and backup critical business data and systems extensively
• Assist with quarterly system reviews, capacity planning, and system tuning, and required maintenance to keep the tier 1 and 2 system components performing optimally and highly available
• Must possess excellent multi-tasking, time management and organization skills
• Some travel required – 10%
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
• 5+ years of in-depth industry experience in storage, host systems, and networking with preferred experience in storage infrastructure
• Certifications held from EMC, VMware, Cisco, and/or VCE preferred
