This is an exciting opportunity in Kent, UK for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
By managing, developing, and implementing project(s) of varying complexity and size in assigned functional area. Partnering with business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion;
Supervising a global team;
Setting up H&S strategy for the PD& I business aligned to the Corporate/ BU/ Vision/ Mission/ Values;
Being responsible for incident investigation, corrective action, record management, KPIs, corporate reporting, Management reviews at different levels;
Carrying out audits/ inspections at global project locations. Dealing with Enforcement authorities;
Ensuring compliance with local construction HSE regulations and site requirements (construction phase plan, etc);
Identifying applicable legal and other requirements, ensuring global HSE compliance (i.e Corporate Requirements);
Developing and implementing a hazard identification and risk management process in terms of behavioral safety, electrical safety, construction safety, gas safety, HSEMS, CDM framework, Design Risk Assessment, etc;
Maintaining project notes, databases, and other records; monitoring measures and communicating with all stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments;
Developing and delivering SMART Objectives, legal compliance registers, HSE communication process, developing and implementing document control systems, setting up emergency programs (point of contact for PD&I for any global security issues);
Providing training across the Global PD&I Organization;
Global travel required.
Requirements
Qualifications
Skills and Experience Required:
Significant experience, including supervisory experience, required; and leadership aspirations;
Great site based project experience required;
Strong understanding of various global legal framework (UK/European/ CDM Regulations/ US OSHA/ etc) and standards (ISO/ OHSAS, etc);
Ability to foster open communications and manage diversity;
Excellent Incident Investigation;
Very good problem solving skills;
Significant ability to work on high pace moving projects; championing change; dealing with complexity;
Strategic thinking and ability to recognize significant long-term opportunities for success and accompanying risks.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific field required;
Preferred certifications - NEBOSH, SMSTS, CDM, IOSH/ IEMA.
Compensation and Benefits:
46,320 – 63,000 GBP p.a.;
25 days holiday pa;
BUPA private medical (taxable benefit);
Variable comp at 12%;
