Head of Operations & Finance (Exec Director)

Job Description

Overview of Role



The Head of Operations and Finance will be responsible to oversee the operations and financial

strategy and obligations of the Company. The Head of Operations and Finance will design policies,

oversee customer service, implement technology solutions, present and report historical financial

information, and shall be responsible for monitoring the company’s financial position and identifying

and reporting on the company’s financial future. The candidate shall report to the Directors of the

Company.

This is a full-time position that will be based in Malta.



Key Responsibilities

Formulate business strategy with other in the executive team;

Design policies that align with overall strategy;

Implement efficient processes and standards coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention;

Ensure compliance with local and internal laws (ex. Data protection);

Oversee the implementation of technology solutions;

Manage contracts with third parties;

Oversee expenses and budgeting;

Report on operations performance and suggest improvements;

Recording and reporting accurate and timely historical financial information of the Company;

Responsible for monitoring the company’s financial position taking into consideration risk and liquidity;

Monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts;

Overseeing the capital structure of the company;

Carrying out financial forecasting and modelling;

Reviewing of the Company’s financial statements;

Reviewing of the Company’s Bank Regulation Returns, Reconciliation Statements, Income Tax Statements and VAT Returns;Ensuring that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government

authorities;

Maintaining relations with external auditors/advisors and investigate their findings and recommendations;

Reporting risk issues to the board of directors;

Maintaining banking relationships;

Maintaining internal control policies and procedures for the Company;

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the smooth running of the finance department and the business as a whole;

Working closely with the Groups Finance Department to ensure the smooth running of the finance function;

Maintaining a working knowledge of Maltese regulatory requirements and finance policies and procedures, and monitoring enactments.
