Head of Formulation and Analytical- What are we looking for?
Energetic leader with drive and motivation
Excellent communicator with strong commercial awareness
Formulation guru with previous experience from concept to launch. (Ideally in OSD)
Strong project manager, who can multi-task and lead international teams.
Clinical, regulatory, 3rd Party management, procurement and quality knowledge.
At least 10 years of drug formulation and analytical chemistry experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within animal health industry. Competence in formulating multiple dosage forms including enteral and parenteral formulations. Experience with EU, US and other territory product development and regulatory requirements.

Directs analytical chemistry & formulations for projects across the Group, building in smarter development pathways and faster time to market.
2.
Develops and enhances the company analytical chemistry in terms of capabilities, processes and equipment across the organisation.
3.
Brings an initial focus on addressing a formulation development platform for all dosage forms within the company, setting up new formulation processes and standards and streamlined processes in preparation of changes in R&D team reporting lines from March 1st. Inherent to this will be a maximisation of global integration using all internal and external resources.
4.
Commercialisation of projects from concept to lab scale taking into consideration equipment and resourcing throughout the organisation.
5.
Drives shorter time to market via customised development approach per product; eg reverse engineering.
6.
Owns ‘Formulations’ section of MS Project.
7.
Responsible for execution of new lab set-up and maintaining new R&D workflows and compliance with new governance across all locations.
8.
Directs API / raw materials sourcing per project and partners with Procurement, Reg Affairs, EH&S and Quality on supplier identification and implementation.
9.
Leads the transfer of products into production, including coordination of all relevant Operations departments; eg QC, RA, Validation, Stability.
10.
Ensures all trial data captured and analysed to build internal capabilities and feed into Bimeda portfolio planning.
11.
Ensures R&D SOPs are fit for purpose and drives process optimisation.
12.
Develops skills and capabilities of R&D team.
