Sophia High Tech is an engineering outsourcing services company for customers all over the world that need support in IT, Hardware and Testing activities with headquarter in Italy.
Sophia High Tech is supporting Bombardier, the world's leading manufacturer of both planes and trains. In order to expand their team in Germany, we are looking for:

Hardware Developer FOD (Foreign Object Detection) (Location: Mannheim, Germany)

Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the metal detection hardware of the Primove inductive charging system
- Coordination of FOD hardware development suppliers, reporting progress to the FOD project leader
- Responsibility for creation of HW-SW and HW-Mechanical interface descriptions
- Coordination of FPGA firmware development supplier
- Development of hardware specifications in IBM DOORS
- Development of concepts, schematics and layouts, using internal and external support

- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 1 year of engineering experience in automotive and/or e-mobility business is beneficial, but not mandatory
- Experience in signal processing and analogue-digital conversion
- Experience in circuit design and manufacturing, isolation coordination and electrical safety
- Basic knowledge of FPGA development, hardware and software
- Fluency in English; German would be considered as a plus
- Structured, driven and process-oriented person
