German QA Assistant

We are currently looking for a German QA Assistant (employed on a temporary labour contract until January 2019), who has a strong eye for detail and a passion for quality and strong critical skills. This in-house role involves different types of proofreading and QA-checks in a variety of file formats.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proofreading and QA-checks
• General administrative duties related to the translation project
• Support with QA assistance
• File preparation
• VO supervision

Skills and experience required for QA:

• Educated to degree level (ideally in translation studies or languages in general)
• English and German language (native level)
• Excellent computer literacy
• Linguistic skills with the ability to identify a variety of languages.
• Being able to multi-task, prioritise and stay calm under pressure
• Taking pride in delivering a high-quality service

It would be a bonus, but not a must, if you have one or more of the following criteria:
• Experience from a similar role within the language industry
• Previous use of CAT tools, including Trados Studio, XBench, Transit or other applications
