Financial Reporting and Taxation Officer

We are looking for a Financial Reporting and Taxation Officer, to assist with the overall audit process, financial statements and tax returns of a prominent online bank in Malta.


What is expected of you?

Prepare corporate income tax and other tax returns, and assist with tax queries
Compile statutory financial statements and assist in the audit process
Ensure that reconciliations governing the general ledger accounts are prepared
Review bank reconciliations, suspense, intercompany and similar accounts to ensure that accounting records are appropriately maintained in an accurate and timely manner
Maintain the general ledger
Document and maintain the Finance department’s policies and procedures
Review the position and financial performance of the legal entities within the Group including analysing and interpreting data and comparing actual results with plans and forecasts

What are you expected to bring?

A qualified accountant or studying to obtain ACCA qualification or similar
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage
