By Applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned areas and projects in one of the following areas:

design and development of embedded electronic system following complete development cycle from requirements gathering and specification,

design through testing, prototype to manufacture. Including component selection,

prototype design verification and validation plans;

understanding of architecture and generation of schematic designs and functional verification.

Using innovative methods and working independently under broad guidance.

Contributing s effectively toward team goals and exhibiting influence within a work group.

Supporting internal and external customers.

Working beyond routine nature of tasks utilizing specialized knowledge.

Troubleshooting problems and recommending appropriate action.

Coaching and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience ideally within an automotive OEM or Tier 1,working on safety critical systems.

Experience in complete development cycle from design through testing to manufacture

Worked in a similar position before, experience in battery systemswould be advantageous but not essential.

Experience in analogue and digital circuits.

Experience in schematic design tools such as Altium, Zuken, etc.

Experience in analysis and troubleshooting of the designs alongwith software engineers

Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team

Skills and Experience Desirable:

Experience in developing electronics for a Battery Managementsystem (BMS) to schematic level including detailed design analysis,simulations, documentation, FMEAs, etc.

Good knowledge of ISO26262.

Working alongside both internaland external parties to get prototypes and low volume production runsmanufactured on time to a very high-quality level.

Good knowledge of automotive communications protocols like CAN.

Good practical knowledge of EMC

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering required. Advanced degrees are preferred
Compensation and Benefits

In return we can offer a salary between £44000 and £47000 (dependent onexperience).
