On behalf of our Client, a leading and award winning online Gaming provider, we are recruiting for a Desktop Support Team Lead to deliver a stable and robust Information Systems environment which will enable the Group to bring in and retain customers. What you'll do:

As the Desktop Support team leader, you will be responsible for the configuration, availability, performance, monitoring, and incident response of both the on-premise Microsoft technologies and Office365 services that our environment runs

Manage a highly motivated IT Desktop Support team
Responsible for the operation, maintenance and 24x7x365 support of the high-availability Corporate environment.
Support daily operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades and performance monitoring/tuning.
Participate in formulating and implementing IT standards and policies to support the operational environment and business direction.
Participate in on-call support rotation.
Define and document best practices and support procedures
Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
Design, implement and provide continual improvements to new and existing hardware platforms and their operating environments to support ongoing business changes and strategy.
Out of hours availability for 3rd level Escalation of production issues per the Escalation Policy.

Requirements

Essential skills:

Strong experience designing and implementing Microsoft operating environments – in heterogeneous and virtual (VMWare) environments.
Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, roles/features, scripting (batch/PowerShell), server deployment and config, and server troubleshooting.
Microsoft Certifications: MCSE Core Infrastructure and Modern Desktop Administrator.
Demonstrated tolerance to high workloads and multiple changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and issues at all levels.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Effective awareness of current IT issues and technology.
Understand and drive initiatives to support change control, capacity planning and operational integrity.
Build technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

Desirable:

Computer Science/IT related university degree.
Working knowledge of IT and quality international standards.
Veeam Backup & Replication administration.
VMWare vSphere 6.5-7.0 administration.
