Job Description
THE CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Global Demand Planning Manager, the person will refine systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs and improve forecast accuracy. Main areas of responsibilities being EMEA and SriLanka, the person will develop a deep knowledge of market trends and events with an impact on sales volumes and mix (product phase in- phase out, promotion, new customers, pricing changes,..) and develop tools for data analysis, reporting and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve relationships and collaboration among planners, sales, marketing and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the company.
Enhance current tools and support in the definition of the requirements and specs for a new advance planning tool.
Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons, reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results.
Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
Requirements
THE PROFILE TO SUCCEED
You have 3/5 years demand planning experience in multi-product line and multi-channel distribution contests.
You have demonstrated proficiency in forecasting with an understanding of the financial and operational impacts.
You are expert in demand planning / advance planning tools (SAP APO/JDA/Oracle demand planning,..)
You have strong analytical, decision making, and presentation skills.
You speak English fluently, any other European language being an asset.
