Job Description
ERS has been retained by our leading Financial Services client to source an experienced Data Engineer to join a dynamic team that will be responsible for a variety of Big Data solutions including Data Sourcing and Integration, Data Modelling and Datamarts on Attunity, Hadoop and Azure platforms. This is an initial 6-month day-rate contract assignment but is expected to extend in line with the extensive program of work underway within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Design and Implement a Data Model and associated Data marts on an Azure Analysis Services DB
Design and Implement Dataflows and Datamarts on a Hadoop platform
Troubleshooting issues with existing Dataflows and Datamarts on the Hadoop platform
Maintaining Data Integration Tasks on an Attunity Replicate Server
Maintaining Powershell Automation scripts
Essential Skills & Experience:
Azure Analysis Services – Skilled with at least 1 year of experience
Azure DevOps – Skilled with at least 1 year of experience
Hadoop Platform Knowledge – Highly Skilled with at least 2 years of experience
Hive and Impala – Highly Skilled with at least 2 years of experience
HUE – Highly Skilled with at least 2 years of experience
Strong Data Integration, ETL and Data Modelling – at least 2 years of experience
Strong SQL with at least 2 years of experience
A proven track record of developing Big Data solutions
Experience of working in insurance or the financial industry
Agile working methodology
