Core Platform Engineer

The Company.

For one of our client, an international Shared Service Centre based in Barcelona, we are currently recruiting for a Core Platform Engineer.

The Job.

Being part of the Global Infrastructure Delivery team the Core Platform Engineer will ensure that core systems and platform infrastructure is correctly released and transitioned to operation teams. The main tasks include :
– Technical design discussions, requirements definitions, testing (including proof-of-concepts), deploying large scale systems and operating and monitoring services
– Sharing your technical knowledge with the team during the creation of the platform and/or the creation of a new infrastructure system either on cloud or premise
– Deliver excellent support to the team and transfer your knowledge
– Working team oriented and ensure that potential technical issues will be discussed within the team
– Constantly trying to improve and finding ways to improve the infrastructure to deliver a better user experience to the end users

The Profile.

– You have an excellent level in English (spoken/written)
– You have min. 7 years of experience in an infrastructure and projects delivery environment
– You have min. 7 years of experience with Windows Active Directory environments and strong experience with Group Policy Objects
– You have min. 7 years of experience in core network service administration (DNS,DHCP,PKI)
– You have strong experience in enterprise backup applications
– You have knowledge of Azure Iaas, High Availability, Azure Virtual Machine, Clustering, service resilience and distributed systems
– You have knowledge of Azure Iaas/PaaS, Azure monitoring or DevOps
– You have experience in storage technology and management
– You have experience in troubleshooting, configuring and supporting network and hybrid scenarios
– You are an outside of the box thinker
– You are capable to work in a demanding and quality oriented working environment
– You are strong team player
