Job Description
The Competitive Data Analyst (CDA) will focus on keeping the EMEA management and other relevant parties updated with intelligence on the situation, strategy, tools and techniques of our competitors in the region. This will include, but is not limited to building and maintaining a full library on our competition across EMEA. This will apply for the big players on the market and for some identified local market players in countries like Germany, France, and UK.
The role of the CDA is to maximize revenue opportunities by helping to shape strategy and by assisting in the sales in creating compelling competitive propositions.
CDA will work closely with the regional Sales team and focus on generating valuable insights for both our Sales and Pre-sales. CDA will gather feedback on the market and our competitors by creating surveys for sales and presales teams to use when meeting with prospects. CDA will combine information from different data sources, assess and confidence-score information and actively research new information sources.
The CDA will also work with delivery teams to understand and document the regional footprint of delivery capabilities of our competitors, providing visibility on their centres and capabilities, and keep this information updated.
Requirements
Drive profitable growth by developing market-relevant competitive data
o Through online and offline research, intelligence, and networking, access all available relevant sources of competitive data
o Use these sources to generate and build a structured competitive data library and comparison
o Provide periodic competitor positioning reports and updates to relevant stakeholders
o Apply the data acquired to assist in our market positioning, especially with industry analysts
Interfaces with
o Regional Marketing, Sales and Pre-Sales for optimal assistance
o Global Marketing, Sales and Pre-Sales
o Market Analysts
Required competence, experience and education
o Good understanding of the IT services and outsourcing industry
o Demonstrate knowledge and experience in building competitive data libraries
o Through previous experience, evidence the added value of competitive intelligence
o Strong analytical skills and excellent ability to present data in a structured and relevant way to stakeholders on different levels within the organisation
o Curious, questioning and tenacious
o Ability to build networks and drive relationships to yield the desired results
o Fluent in English
o Experience in sales / presales / delivery in IT service industry preferred
Required licenses and certifications
o Education in competitive strategy, business, marketing, or an associated field
