Chief Compliance Officer

A well-established Maltese financial institution is seeking to recruit a Chief Compliance Officer who will be responsible for the development, implementation and the upholding of policy and procedures for the operation of the Compliance Programme. What is expected of you?

Report to the Executive Committee
Prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct and any other activity related to the Compliance Program
Monitor and provide leadership for the Compliance Program, improve its effectiveness and uphold regulatory documentation on compliance policies and procedures
Recognise and report potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk
Oversee the customer due diligence process
Lead the process of monitoring and analysing to ensure compliance with the consumer protection laws and regulations
Develop an effective compliance training program, both introductory and on-going

What are you expected to bring?

Consumer Compliance Advisory, Commercial Compliance Advisory & Testing Lead
A proven track record in supervising people
A minimum of 10 years' banking compliance experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Ability to multitask and prioritise
