The Business Analyst –advises and supports the business on technology innovations and solutions in one or more business process and/or information domains.
Requirements
Be up to date on technology innovations and solutions
Pursue market developments and translates market developments into opportunities and risks for the business.
Use current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements to increase the value of insights generated
Gather business needs, supporting information domain and define underlying business cases
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, user acceptance testing, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements
Create and maintain an application portfolio catalog (CMDB) and document knowledge base.
Maintain process information in the Enterprise Operating System (EOS) and support Software licenses management for the applications of the business domain assigned.
Assess the business impact of critical problems to reduce risks with respect to business continuity and informs stakeholders about the appropriate risk mitigation that needs to be taken.
Conduct events and workshops to encourage understanding in the business about IT opportunities.
Support business case development with the business to justify new initiatives, innovations and projects.
Support and guides business representatives in determining business requirements for IT services and IT solutions.
Balance teaching, tailoring, and asserting standards during interactions with business partners
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and work with customers to uncover unmet business needs
Proactively recommend opportunities to improve, expand, or retire existing analytics capabilities and reports
Contribute to lessons learned and the continuous improvement of IT from a business perspective
Act as a trusted advisor to the business discussing new business strategies, goals and other open and strategic requests.
Bachelor’s degree in the Business Administration, Computer science, Engineering, or a comparable course of studies
Not less than 3 years of business analysis related experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise
Proven ability to learn new Mechanical Design and Simulation, Test and Validation applications, processes, and procedures
Proven ability and willingness to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
Demonstrated detail orientation
Comfortable facilitating workshops with small and large groups
Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate to multiple stakeholders, including client management, IT management, and non-technical staff
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-intensity, multi-project environment, with the ability to multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-Manages: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously towards a goal
Exposure to ITIL and/or other structured service management methodologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
Fluent in English, written and verbal
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Information Management or Computer Science
Expert knowledge of the business change discipline
Expert knowledge of the requirements management discipline
Expert knowledge of the IT governance discipline
Relevant experience in an international environment
