HELP International Summer Peru

Intern with HELP International and work to combat poverty in communities in Peru. You will have an option to be a part of projects that range from five weeks, ten weeks, or fifteen weeks, with each wave lasting around five weeks. You will be placed with local organizations as you work to improve the lives of local communities. You will be responsible for teaching, construction, gardening, and education outreaches including information about hygiene. You will have the option of receiving internship credit for this experience.

You will be trained for this position so that you can carry out your duties safely and responsibly. You will also have the option to visit interesting cultural sites such as Machu Picchu.

“My HELP International experience changed my life. I made great friendships with my teammates and the locals. I served with them, learned from them, and laughed with them. The Peruvian people have hearts of gold. Not only was I helping them, but they were helping me. While in Peru, I had the chance to go to the majestic Inca ruins of Machu Picchu on a long weekend and loved it. I got to start my own project, something I found is very unique to this organization. Working at the orphanage and helping to get a bakery going to provide for the orphans was something that I will never forget. Everyone should have an experience like this.”
